Club Championships 2009

A new way to prepare for a race!. Rushing home from work and throwing the bike in the car to take part in the BTS club champs. Around 25 members made it down to Dorney Lake on the 15th July, to race each other over the F3 Events Sprint distance course, along one side of the rowing lake.

BTS had its own wave within the open event, going off around 7.20pm and after a 750m single lap swim, came the 5 lap (or in some people's case 6 lap!) and a then a 2 lap run part way down the far side of the lake.

A dominant performance from Michael Hiscott mean't that he led pretty much from start to finish (although rumour was he didnt come out the water first) to not only be the first BTS'er home, but also post the a fastest time of the whole night at 1:01:57...............................maybe. It appears that the timing at the event was not entirely as it should be and most swimming times, and therefore our finishing times, seem to be at least 1 minute slower than our actual times.

So, apart from Paul M's and Adam's finishing times/positions being the wrong way around, and several missing or rather straing splits (Philipa!), the finishing order as shown is almost correct :)
